Commodities: Mesmo para aqueles que não acompanham diretamente o assunto, não é raro ver notícias nos principais jornais, rádio e TV sobre as famosas Commodities. Afinal, o que são as Commodities e como elas nos afetam? 

É muito comum falarem nos jornais, como no famoso Jornal Nacional da rede Globo ou em grandes portais de notícias sobre os impactos das Commodities sobre nossa economia, empresas e inflação.  Destrincharemos todos os detalhes em uma linguagem bem simplificada, para lhes mostrar que não é tão complicado assim, como parece. Vamos lá?

O que são Commodities?

As Commodities podem ser definidas como matérias primas básicas que são utilizadas como base para a produção de outros produtos.

São produzidos em larga escala e podem ser estocados, sem risco de perda da qualidade do produto.

A palavra “Commodity” vem do inglês e significa mercadoria, tendo sido utilizada no plural “Commodities“, representando todos estes produtos básicos (insumos) que são transacionados nas bolsas de valores mundiais.

São mercadorias consideradas essenciais na indústria de todos os países, e não há diferenciação dos produtos considerando os produtores e regiões: Um barril de petróleo produzido pela Petrobrás no Brasil será similar a um barril de petróleo produzido pela Exxon Mobil nos Estados Unidos.

O Brasil é um dos grandes exportadores de Commodities, e podemos incluir nesta vertente produtos como Petróleo, Café, Boi Gordo, Suco de Laranja, Minério de Ferro, Soja, Alumínio, entre outros produtos.

Ainda confuso? Vamos direto aos tipos de Commodities para facilitar a compreensão.

Quais são os Tipos de Commodities?

Temos 4 tipos, assim definidos:

  • Commodities Agrícolas: Algodão, borracha, café, soja, suco de laranja congelado, trigo, etc.
  • Commodities Minerais: Alumínio, Níquel, Minério de Ferro, Petróleo, Prata, Ouro, etc.
  • Commodities Financeiras:  Aqui consideramos todas as moedas negociadas em vários mercados, títulos públicos de governos federais, entre outros. Dólar, Euro, Real, etc.
  • Commodities Ambientais: Divide-se em sete vertentes, sendo água, energia, minério, biodiversidade, madeira, reciclagem e controle de emissão de poluentes (água, solo e ar).

Brasil e as  Commodities …

Este nosso país Brasil é considerado um dos grandes produtores e exportadores de Commodities no atual cenário mundial.

Como principais produtos aqui produzidos para exportação, temos: Petróleo, Café, Suco de Laranja, Minério de Ferro, Soja e Alumínio.

Podemos notar que isto traz benefícios e malefícios ao nosso país: É bom para o Brasil produzir e comercializar estas mercadorias, porém isto nos torna totalmente dependentes do humor externo. Com humor externo, leia-se os preços estabelecidos no exterior para estas mercadorias, pois, estando a demanda alta, o país cresce junto com as empresas nacionais que faturam mais, porém se o preço cai, somos todos afetados pela queda na economia, principalmente as empresas produtoras.

Países como a Bolívia e Venezuela, por exemplo, sofreram bastante quando o preço do petróleo no mercado internacional alcançou os preços mínimos, pois era um dos principais produtos e toda a economia foi afetada com preços menores do barril.

Quando um produto é considerado Commodity, o seu preço é determinado globalmente, através das bolsas de valores de vários países.

Não tem muito segredo em relação a composição do preço, pois temos apenas dois cenários possíveis:

  • Queda da Demanda: Os preços destes produtos nas bolsas de valores serão reduzidos.

Em contrapartida, quando surgem notícias de que a China precisará de mais minério de ferro para produzir mais aço em suas siderúrgicas, o preço das ações da Vale sobem.

Contratos Futuros das Commodities

Para dar mais previsibilidade e segurança aos produtos e comerciantes destes produtos, há a opção de utilização dos chamados Contratos Futuros, que são organizados pela B3 (antiga Bovespa).

Isto garante a um produtor, por exemplo, revender o seu produto a um determinado preço, pois, imagine que a produção esteja já em estoque, quando surge uma notícia catastrófica que reduz drasticamente os preços de venda no mercado internacional. Em alguns casos, variações como esta acarretariam em grandes prejuízos, e os contratos futuros servem justamente para evitar este tipo de situação. Praticamente um seguro para manutenção da compra e/ou venda.

    Скважина для воды на участке с кессоном имеет массу плюсов, среди которых такие:
    Защита от грунтовой воды, сточной и канализационной;
    Защита насосной системы и системы автоматики, благодаря тому, что обеспечивается полная герметизация;
    Скважина лучше защищена от промерзания, это позволит сохранить оборудование в работоспособном состоянии дольше;
